Help us make it rightUniversal CityWalk. Always Unexpected. 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, CA 91608
This fun area is located in Universal Studios and connects all the Universal City attractions. Universal City Walk opened in 1993 and is an open-air street featuring retail stores, movies, bars and restaurants for every taste. The Universal City cinemas show all the latest movies.
Universal Studios Hollywood, The Entertainment Capital of L.A., includes a full-day, movie-based theme park and Studio Tour plus Universal CityWalk, our entertainment, shopping and dining complex. The theme park features world-class rides and attractions such as the Transformers ride, Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park and much more.
Universal City Walk is a fantasy version of an LA that never was (but should have been if you are an architect or designer with money to burn and the ne plus ultra of design is theme restaurants and expensive parking.) UCLA Extension and some interesting shopping is at UCW, so be prepared to kill some time. Most of the big restaurants are not as good as the little ones. The movie theaters, particularly the IMAX are impressive, but expensive. Parking is the major problem with Universal City Walk; it's expensive and far away, so the best bet is to use the expensive convenient valet service. Also, in summer during the evening it's as crowded as Soylent Green Day.
This tourist oriented them mall is also popular for locals. It gets extremely crowded during the weekends and can be a bit claustrophobic. The theater there shows films in the IMAX format.
We like Universals CityWalk during the day, when its less busy (most people will be in the theme park). Avoid CityWalk with kids after...
With a wide selection of food and entertainment crammed into a couple of manufactured blocks, CityWalk is the destination of choice for folks who like the idea of having urban-esque neighborhoods...
Universal Studios is a must see attraction in southern california but food in the park is expensive. We stop here to grab a better deal on food. Fast food and chain restaurants. This trip ww had a doughnut for breakfast snd smashed burger for supper. We had drinks at the hard rock cafe and bubba gumps. Fate of the furious...
Excellent selection of shops, activities and especially places to eat. Fun fountain for the kids, too.
So many shops are lined up the walkway to Universal Studios Hollywood! Some great bargains and unique souvenirs to be had if you look closely enough. Such a great vibe and experience.
This is nothing more then a outdoor mall/eatery. It also has a movie theater and that's about it. The prices are the same as in a mall. Nothing great to drive out of your way for plus you have to pay for parking. It was costly just to walk around cheaper to go to a local mall.
Walked through City Walk before and after day at Universal Studios. Loads of souvenir type shops as well as higher end stores like Fossil etc. Plenty of food places to chop from too. Definitely check area out :)
