Sushi on the Sunset Strip
Sushi Ya is a good sushi bar that just happens to be in the middle of the Sunset Strip. Although Sushi Ya feels warm and friendly like the corner sushi bar it's a little trendy and bold because of the clientelle and location. Prices are a little expensive, but the food is complemented by sidewalk dining and people watching --Hollywood types and model wannabees. Free parking is in the back.

The sushi service was fairly fast, but my friend ordered the beef skewers, and that took longer than it should have, especially as we were the only people in the entire place aside from the staff. Once the food came, she said it was delicious, however. My spicy tuna roll was good (standard) and my yellowtail sashmi was just ok.

I went to Sushiya a few nights ago with some of my girlfriends and we had the BEST experience! Not only was the staff great (very knowledgable and friendly) but the sushi was AMAZING! Their rolls are great, the sashimi melts in your mouth, and their Chocolate cake is to DIE FOR! I HIGHLY recomment this place to anyone that is a true sushi lover.... great vibe, great food, great price!
