The restaurant inside the NC Museum of Art is a yummy place to go for lunch or brunch. We've always had good food when we have eaten there. The specials are fantastic and the food is always fresh. We found it to be reasonably priced. …
Blue Ridge Museum Restaurant offers a delicious lunch. The menu is unique and extensive -- definitely not the typical bagged and overpriced food sold at a museum. It's worth a trip to the museum just for the food itself -- it's a work of…
Nice atmosphere with a beautiful view of the museum's back lawn. Professional service, entrees are not over sized and are reasonably priced. I believe the menu changes seasonally but I had a chili glazed fish that was phenomenal. Desserts are a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach.
This is where we go for celebratory brunches, twice a year or so. The menu changes seasonally so there's something new to try every time. The food is fresh and well prepared, the setting is casual, the service is friendly and efficient. It's a little on the pricey side but it is tax free, the profit goes right back into the museum and it's worth every penny. We especially love the bread basket with one sweet and one savory, the mimosas and bloody marys, and the omelets; which are GIMORMOUS and we can easily make two full meals out of.

This year was the second year we've gone to the Blue Ridge Cafe for Easter Brunch. Both years the food has been incredible. I had the Oak City Benedict and it was amazing. We all tried each other's dishes and my mother's Sea Bass and my father's shrimp and grits were also delicious (and I don't even like grits). The presentation is as nice as the flavor. My husband is a picky eater and was able to get a fantastic burger with bacon and gruyere cheese, and my five year old was able to have chicken fingers and french fries. We also sampled a few desserts between us...We tried the orange...
The permanent collection at the museum is free, so come for lunch and stay a few hours.
The restaurant often opens on Friday nights for dinner during special events. Check the website for more information.
