We arrived one hour before our dinner reservation to enjoy happy hour in the bar. Drink prices were reasonable and the ploughman's plate was ample. When we'd arrived, we told the hostess we were there an hour early for the reservation yet when we walked up to her at 5:00 for dinner we were refused a seat in the dining room, despite the fact we had a reservation and the room was 20% occupied at...

Our server let us take our time to talk as we were catching up with some friends we had not seen for a while. She kept up with our beverages, but did not push us to order our food until we were ready. Food came in a reasonable amount of time, since the kitchen was busy due to a nearly full restaurant. Food is reliably good here. Nothing great, just consistently very good.
