From "upscale" breakfasts to lunch sandwiches to dinner classics, the American eats at this Roslindale "find" and its West Roxbury sib are "wonderful" – and "leave room for dessert", because the housemade sweets are "to die for"; sometimes the "charming", "comfortable", "cozy" (i.e. "small") quarters can get "busy", but the servers are still "such sweethearts."

25 minutes driving from downtown Boston were a good time to spend to eat at Sugar Baking. We ordered pancakes, regular and lemon ricotta, and apple cinnamon french toast with maple crunches... they tasted delicious. Large quantity and high quality. Good place to eat american food.

We went for lunch. I ordered the special dish of the day and my Grandson ordered the Hamburger. Our food were on the counterbut it took awhile for our waiter to serve them to us. There was actually a line to get in. And I understand why. Great breakfasts, extra large portions, and an open air eating area when the weather is nice.
