What the community has to say about Piccino

Information about this business (4)

When we opened the doors of our tiny restaurant in December 2006, our goal was to make Piccino as welcoming as the home of a close friend, our food as simple and beautifully executed as possible. We"re honored that Piccino became a thriving hub of the community. And in May of 2011 we moved from our original space into a new home (dubbed The Yellow Building) on the corner of 22nd & Minnesota...

Piccino's lunch and dinner menus feature a range of seasonally driven, ultra-thin-crust pizzas, salads, soups, and antipasti platters. We source our produce, flour, meat, and dairy directly from small, local and organic purveyors, and, as much as is possible, are firm believers in the "locavore" movement.

Cozy cafe in Potrero Hill is part coffee bar, part Tuscan lunch stop.

In Short
There may only be seating for a few inside, but Piccino's main draw is a handful of tables that line the sidewalk under a couple of the neighborhood's towering sycamore trees....

This is a wonderful restaurant owned and operated by women. Our waitress was remarkably good. She really knew the food and wine choices. We experimented with a mix of dishes and drinks and most were excellent--and the few that were less stellar were by no means lacking, just not as surprisingly wonderful.

Innovative take on brunch/lunch favorites, exceptional execution, friendly servers and staff. Consistently good. My husband and I have come to love it - the pizzas, the farro with brassicas, the scramble - we haven't been disappointed. Even the basic veggies and hummus starter is a happy and gorgeous surprise. Great cocktails too.

Tasty as always. Delicious veggie salad with housemade crackers that are fabulous.

Excellent serivice but you really need to improve on your pizzas. The dough needs to be tastier. And pizza margherita comes with basil not marijoram leaves. And you gave me Marjoram leaves on my pizza that I ordered extra to take home with me after lunch!! Learn the difference between herbs! I wish I saw this before tipping the waitress.

It has been a great lunch, good ambiance but nor too noisy. Very good food and nice service. Definitely one of my favorite place in SF.

For now, this place is cash only, and the nearest ATM is at a small grocery store across the street. To avoid having to purchase a pack of gum, stop by a bank before you park.
