One of LA’s best hidden gems, this playground for the leading movers and shakers in mixology is located off the historic lobby.
“Wonderful” mixologist Matthew Biancaniello oversees the team of talented ‘tenders who create the unusual (and “so good”) creative cocktails at this “small”, “crowded” bar off the lobby of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel; give a hint of what you fancy, then let them whip up something to suit with seasonal farmer’s market ingredients, fresh housemade syrups, foams and top-shelf liquors.
Just off the lobby of the historic Hollywood Roosevelt hotel is the Library Bar, specializing in "Omakase-style" cocktails---meaning the bartender will craft something especially for you, depending on your spirit preference. Arugula, saffron and chipotle peppers are just some of the ingredients that can be found in their unique creations. The drinks are the main event here, but there are also...
The Roosevelt's go-to bar has long been the one poolside, but that's much more about bikinis than quality drinks. The Library Bar is set to take over in this age of mixology, where everything is still crazy expensive, but at least that tumbler's got enough fruit and veg to create a real meal. Same beautiful people, too.

A heavy mahogany door separates this refined space from the adjacent hotel lobby area. The intimate, though oddly book-free, environment features a lone plasma screen against...
It's a small trendy bar at the Roosevelt Hotel. The bartenders are friendly and they will make any drink you want . Just tell them your drink of choice and they will make you a cocktail from it
You can basically tell the bartender drinks or flavors you like and they will mix you up delicious unique drinks, really cool place
This is a teeeny spot. So probably best for just a small group of about 20/25 looking for a private bar experience. Traditional old library feel; dark leather, wood and lots of books and classic Hollywood bar.
It's a nice corner of the big historic Roosevelt lobby. You can order drinks and take them to the big comfy leather sofas and chairs scattered about for more privacy.
Amazing, honestly. I love this little speakeasy/lounge whatever you want to call it. Candlelit atmosphere and soothing jazz tunes were exactly what I needed to calm my nerves and wet my palate. Asked for an Arnold Palmer (with lots of alcohol) and was not disappointed!

Stalking out a meter will save the sometimes hour-long wait at the Roosevelt valet that ends up costing around $20 sans tip.
One of Marilyn Monroe's favorite hotels, the bar still pours her favorite drink, namely champagne, including Veuve Cliquet and a vintage Dom Perignon.
Get there early--the exodus of patrons turned away from the Tropicana Bar can fill up this modest-sized area by 11pm on a school night.
