Help us make it rightGrist Mill is a neighborhood grocery store and breakfast cafe. It has a fresh meat counter and a butcher shop, which provides cooking tips and recipes. It offers a selection of traditional fresh and smoked sausages, Busia-approved kielbasa, natural beef, fish and hormone-free Amish fresh chicken. The store also has a fresh deli section that features store-made salads, sandwiches, baked breads...
Taking a drive, looking at properties...this is one of those surprises! Looks like a little gas station. Inside was a deli and meat counter that amazed us... like a little specialty place. Not just macaroni salad there... brucshettas and twice baked and hummus and more. Looked Yummy! Moving close this place would be nice. Then in back there were some tables for breakfast/lunch. So we decided to eat a late breakfast. Simple but good too. Everybody seemed to know everybody and were still friendly Hi to us strangers. Oh... it doesn't have everything...no alcohol there. Another diner said that is sold across the street in the Market... lots of wines and even specialty cheeses. We sat too long over breakfast and didn't get the chance to check it out. Still properties to look at.

Love the deli customer service (pretty standard and good items) and the butcher is great... so nice typically fresh meat counter... not impressed with the meat sticks and summer type sausage in fridge windows or deli counter as it is hit or miss... sometimes mealy texture or too salty or such. I stick with the fresh meats. Desserts never disappoint. Then they have some special more upscale...
