the menu & service makes the place

I found the food a little lackluster, but the extensive and varied menu was perfect for our party: two non-pork eaters, one die-hard European who was delighted to find weinerschnitzel on the menu, and a pair of vegetarians. Really good service.

In Short Soaring ceilings, Venetian marble and hustling headset-wearing servers--the decor is over-the-top Las Vegas. Considering the Grand Lux Cafe serves as the "coffee shop" to the Venetian Hotel, the decor seems to suit Strip crawlers and locals alike. The menu offers whopping portions and a dizzying array of choices--jambalaya, Yankee pot roast and Wiener schnitzel, to name a few. Prices ... more

We went on a recent Vegas vacay, four of us total. We were seated about 15 minutes after putting our name in although it looked like the wait would have been much longer. Got a great little booth in a quiet section in the back of the hotel, which was fabulous. We all got drinks, which were good, except mine was way too sweat (Pomegranate Champagne drink). Got appetizers of the mashed potato spring ... more

I had the pasta bolganese and it was really good ( a tad bit salty ... more

Stay away poor service! We arrived at the Café around 9:45 and within 10 minutes we were heading back to our seat. When we arrived at our table it was not ready and the hostess ask us to wait a moment and she walked off. Five minutes later we sat down at the table after being asked to move out of the isle by several staff. After setting down the hostess finally returned and told us not to sit ... more

I went there after watching The Blue Man Group show, which by the way was great. The food was very good and the service flawless. The restaurant truly lived up to it's Cheesecake Factory's reputation. There is also a late night menu, which I plan to try the next time I'm out there. Highly recommend!
