Do you own Genki Ramen? Contact us to connect with your diners.
This restaurant is decorated to the nines, but still allows for a comfortable atmosphere. Ramen is their main offering, but their fare also includes standard Japanese dishes such as donburi and yakisoba, as well as a variety specialty cocktails made with soju (a Korean alcohol). Although Genki Ramen is rather small, because the service is efficient there is hardly ever a line to be seated.
Assuming the many plasma TVs constantly showing flickering, hyper-colorful anime and pop videos don't send you into epileptic seisures, this Japanese eatery on Geary's best stretch is a fun way to...
Awesome Ramen place in the Inner Richmond. The chicken karaage ramen was super tasty!
Outstanding!
The food was ok. If you get the ramen to go, they only give you a little over a cup of broth which was pretty disappointing. Pricey for the portions. Won't order from here again.
The soup base for the chashu ramen was bland and the noodles were over done. The ribeye and short rib robatayaki was so saturated with sauce you couldn't taste the beef. The takoyaki was this little deep fried ball of cream-filled something nasty. The ramune was WARM. :( The gyoza was decent. Will NOT order from again
Consistently good food! Lamb was a bit soggy this time, but tender and with a delicious sauce. So still good.

This is one of the few Japanese restaurants in the city that serves okinomiyaki, a super-filling savory pancake with ingredients ranging from bacon and cheese to squid and scallops, popular in Japan.
Genki's got a sister spot on Clement Street that is part sweet-smelling creperie and part Japanophile convenience store.
