Editorial reviews from the web (1)

The Allston-Brighton scene has a formidable, all-purpose hangout for watching the Sox and Pats.

Post-collegiate Brighton residents pack this beer garden, located in the building that formerly housed Soho. Mounted TVs visible from every angle draw crowds at gametime for beers and bar food...

Went to the Brighton Beer Garden the other night before the pats game to grab some beers with my friends... Got to say I was pretty disappointed considering the place has so much potential. We grabbed some pitchers of beer and as the bartender was pouring we noticed swarms of fruit flies. As we got the …

Been sitting here for 30 minutes. PRETTY HUNGRY and my food doesn't seem like it's coming any time soon. Luckily, after 25 minutes, my beer finally came: it tastes like they poured it from the tap, into a bucket full of pig poop, and then into the glass. Don't come here.Update: beer still sucks, food came after 50 minutes and is completely mediocre. Still don't come here.

Here right now for the Seahawks-Packers game. Atmospheres not too bad, street parking was easy enough. There's a good amount of people here but it's not too crazy. I ordered a water 25 minutes ago. Followed up about it ten minutes ago. Still not here. I'm getting kind of thirsty....EDIT: ten more …

What can I say about Brighton Beer Garden? It's the epitome of average! It's one of the 10,000 bars and casual restaurants you can go to in Boston, and like 5,000 others it serves plenty of good microbrews and has a large beer selection. The location is decent but finding street parking may require …

Live Jazz band, Carving station, hot buffet, omelette station, cold platters, bakery, dessert table.

Although the pub food is “nothing special”, fans of this Brighton den say “as far as sports bars go, it runs with the leaders” thanks to “many TVs”, “cheap” tabs and a “fun” atmosphere; though most cheer a “good selection of beer”, some say it’s “shockingly small” – still, it’s a “great place to watch a game” thanks to the “cool” folks behind the bar and a “lotta hotties” in front of it.

This Brighton area lounge offers Bostonians a New York experience without leaving town. It's a happening place that makes visitors feel very with it. The only difference between this bar and NYC bars is the cover charge – here there isn't one. That's just one of the many reasons for its popularity. The trendy crowd, sleek two-story interior, great drink menu, gleaming dance floor, and great...
