What the community has to say about Zingerman's Delicatessen

Information about this business (2)

Zingerman's Delicatessen is fast becoming America's best-known deli. Opened in March of 1982 by Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig in an historic building near the Ann Arbor Farmers' Market, the Deli got its start with a small selection of great-tasting specialty foods, a host of traditional Jewish dishes and a relatively short sandwich menu.Today, Zingerman's Delicatessen is an Ann Arbor...

Zingerman's Delicatessen is fast becoming a popular joint with the locals. Besides the usual cafe offerings such as soups, sandwiches, burgers, and the like, you can enjoy corned beef items, turkey prepared in a variety of styles, and steak. Prices are reasonable, and there are downsized meals for the ankle-biter brigade. Farmhouse cheeses, home-made spreads, and breads are also on sale.

Zingerman's Delicatessen Restaurant Review

Zingerman's is not just an Ann Arbor institution; it's a world-class gourmet food emporium, offering the likes of olive oil from Lago di Garda, fancy artisan cheeses, an immense array of sausages and German mustard. Located in an historic building, the deli and next-door café stay jam-packed day and night. Warm, hearth-baked breads from Zingerman's own bakery --- including one spiked with a...

Voted the Detroit area’s Most Popular eatery, this Ann Arbor “institution” is “mecca for foodies” who don’t mind “waiting” in “long lines” for an “endless choice” of “zing-tastic” deli sandwiches “overstuffed” with “superb ingredients”, plus “gourmet treats” like “world-class cheeses”, “olive oils, balsamic vinegars”, “coffees, teas”, “exceptional breads”, “awesome desserts” and other “exotic...

My girlfriend and I decided to take a day trip to Ann Arbor to go and have lunch at Zingerman's. When we arrived we quickly realized that there was a great deal to take in, right when you first walk in the door. There were so many amazing things to see, they have a bakery, with all sorts of fresh...

Zingerman's is known for their tasty New York City-like sandwiches using their bread made in their own Zingerman's bakery. It's an Ann Arbor institution since 1982 and is still as popular as ever.

What a find. Unbelievable selection and variety. More than just a deli, you can dine-in or take vold cuts, cheeses, and more home to create your own sandwiches. After dinner, grab dessert at their shop next door! They're goid and proud if it: Expect to pay $10+ for just about every sandwich on the menu. The matzoh ball soup is...

I get the appeal of Zingerman's. The food is great--the experience is better. If your a foodie, you need to go just to see the extensive offerings. It is expensive and very crowded, though. If you go, plan on waiting in line, but also plan on enjoying your meal and experiencing the best customer service in Ann Arbor. That said, don't...
