I go here during the winter to use the pool for kayak practice. The women's locker room is always clean on Sat evenings. Floors are mopped every few hours it seems.

I am giving the Salem Y 4 stars based on ymcas in general, not comparing them to other gyms. It is busy but like most gyms, you just need to tune of the "noise" and focus on you and your workout....

After School Day Care

A distinguished YMCA building stands stern in the city of Salem in the U.S. State of Massachusetts. It has been included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and still continues to serve the community, primarily the youth.

A Salem presence since 1850, the YMCA serves the community by offering fitness facilities and exercise classes for adults, along with summer and day camps for children. Children can enroll in one of 60 camps or the Early Learning Center -- a year-round day care center for toddlers and school-age children.
