Amazing specialty rolls

I love to go to Yama for their speciality rolls, especially the Bubba roll! The tuna, spicy mayo, and tempura topping go together perfectly. Yama is a great place to go with friends or family. It is not too fancy inside, and casual dress seems to be the norm. I also love getting Yama to go.

Two for lunch - one lunch box and one chirashi sushi. No pushback when we asked that they not include the "white tuna" (which is really escolar, aka "ExLax fish," and for good reason).
The lunchbox has the usual variety of items, including tempura, sushi, sashimi, daikon, noodles, rice, tofu, and pot stickers. Chirashi had a nice variety of fish...

Menu isn't extensive, food isn't fancy. But the tempura is prepared well, fish is fresh, and service is very good. Prices are very reasonable.

one of our go to places. always fresh and they don't paper thin cut the fish. Friendly staff and owner. My daughters favorite restaurant. better than the standard strip mall sushi spot.
