Lebanese restaurants tend to offer similar fare, but this one in the quaint Montavilla neighborhood offers rarely seen dishes, as well as friendly service. Chef Mirna Attar and her husband John work hard to make each customer feel welcome.… Read More

Delicious neighborhood Lebanese restaurant with dreamy baba ghanoush and what might be my favorite veggie mezza platter in town. Be sure to check out their international foods market next door, where you can stock up on rose water, pomegranate molasses, feta and sumac.

Editorial Review by Mary Morley

This was a place we didn’t even know existed until our most recent trip to Bend and one of our servers said we had to go. Fast forward 2 weeks and we were making our way to the airport via I-205 trying to find a place to stop, and this place was the perfect place to stop. We were not only greeted by cheerful people, but also a large sign that showed the special of the day as Butternut Squash...

I called in advance to make a reservation for our daughter's 30th birthday. They do not take reservations. My husband & I drove over 350 miles to surprise our daughter and arrived early to be sure we would get a table. We told the manger we were celebrating a special birthday, there would be 6 adults and two little ones...

Tender and falling off the bone. The pitas are plentiful, warm and keep coming if you wish and we did in order...

Know Before You Go: This restaurant is quite popular with Portlanders, so if you don't want a long wait, you should go during off times. Or just go a little early and have a drink while you wait.

The Extras: The owners of Ya Hala operate a Mediterranean grocery store adjacent to the restaurant. The store features common Mediterranean foods, ingredients and spices as well as cook books and hookahs.
