We sell most types and brands of Solid and Engineered Hardwood Flooring, Laminate Flooring, Carpet, Tile and Stone, and Vinyl. We carry all accompanying molding and tools, including trim, sanding equipment and finish. We only sell materials; we do not install.
My daughter asked me to come down to Baltimore from NY to help her install wood flooring in her condo. She had already purchased engineered oak flooring from wood flooring plus which gave me some concern because I would have liked to have been involved in the purchase. On my way down from NY to her condo I stopped iat Wood Flooring Plus and spoke with Jess and Matt. They were very helpful and answered all of my questions. This gave me the confidence to start the job. After we ripped up the carpeting and tile, I returned with my daughter and picked up the flooring. They helped us load the flooring into my SUV (it took two trips to move 700 sq ft) and off we went to install the flooring. It turned out great! Bottom line is I ordered more and had it shipped to my home in NY where I'm now preparing to install 1,400 sq ft of flooring. My experience was very positive and my car was not towed away despite my out of state plates which should have made me an easy target.
I have used Wood Floors Plus for two projects. The service is wonderful! Each person is courteous and knowledgeable about flooring and the selections they have in stock. It is a warehouse environment it is clean and organized NOT a dump. After I made my purchase the team in the loading area managed the people waiting in turn and loaded everything quite nicely.
Their parking lot is huge. On my trips I have not seen more than 20 cars in the parking lot. Not sure what the other guy did or what he was talking about. The parking lots are clearly marked.
My only disappointment is that on my second trip the first flooring that I bought was no longer available. Their clearance items go quickly. If you think you may extend a floor and you buy a clearance item I would advise that you invest in buying all of the flooring at the same time plus extra. It is worth the investment. Luckily for me they had an almost identical color and textured flooring unfortunately for me it was three times the cost of the first clearance flooring that I purchased.
I do wish they advised me that it was a possibility for them to run out. who knows maybe they just don't like to pressure sales. So you can take that as a good or bad thing. But advising me would have helped me in my long term planning.
No complaints about their service, the warehouse or their parking lot.
As an employee of Wood Floors Plus, I would like to respond to the accusations made in these reviews.
Mr. Donnely parked his vehicle in a parking lot adjacent to ours that we do not lease. The parking lot has signs noting that vehicles parked there will be towed. Mr. Donnely went into the Maryland MVA, which is adjacent to our building, and his vehicle was towed. Wood Floors Plus has absolutely nothing to do with cars getting towed nor do we receive any kickback.
I am not familiar with the other complaint, but it sounds more like a competitor than a customer. Our staff is experienced and helpful. Our showroom may not be the prettiest, but it is far from a dump.
We have the widest selection of flooring in the area. We subsidize our prices with the extremely high volume of quality flooring that we sell.
I figure that Wood Floors Plus guarantees low prices by getting kickbacks from the local towing company (Quick Response Towing, Baltimore, MD) when they tow your car from their lot. I went to Wood Floors Plus, 50 Orchard Road, Glen Burnie recently and parked in their lot and was towed. The cost was $300 cash. So the fine print is you could save $0.25/sq. ft. on flooring but then surrender $300 as a donation to the local towing outfit and deal with terrible customer service. I’m sure WFP gets a kickback on that hefty towing charge. Not only is it $300 cash, you need to waste half of your day getting to the shady towing lot to get it back and hope that there are no scratches or dents. Avoid Wood Floors Plus and save yourself $300.
