This place is the best! Great German beer selection on top...the staff is top notch and most importantly, the food can't be beat. If you are looking German food, you won't find a better option in the twin cities.
The restaurant is small, reservations on weekends are suggested. The bar area is compact and probably the only downside of this...

I never thought I'd be able to eat cabbage, but it's so good here. The schnitzel is wonderful and $10 bottles of wine on Tuesdays is a party waiting to happen!

Probably more a 3.5. Great service, interesting quirky space. My sausage, cabbage and German potato salad were quite good. My wife's schnitzel was only so-so, and the spatzle were tough, rubbery, and practically inedible. Nice beer selection. Would return (partly because choices there are limited), but would order more selectively.

Have been here several times. Always great. Good beer prices at happy hour, food is always good. When family and friends come from out of town this is the first place I think of for dinner.

I brought my son in laws to the Winzer Stube for lunch while when they were in town, helping with a project. Since it has become a must stop every time the come to Hudson. Incredible food, atmosphere, and beer.
