Editorial reviews from the web (2)

Gary Anza and George Rallis are chefs and partners in this American-style bistro (foie gras sliders, suckling pig). It’s named for the original 17th-century settler of what was then Hallet’s Cove.

Rock ‘tude bistro. Local duo drops creative takes on American classics. Signature Cobb salad upgrades bacon to slow-braised pork belly, pairs it with a poached and then fried egg. Turducken adds bourbon ketchup to a meatloaf version of the infamous poultry mashup. Classy-casual interior with old signs, pine flooring, handmade oak bar. Vintage punk and hip hop soundtrack as energized as the food.

One of my favorite spots in Astoria. The food is delicious..and the drinks are amazing. Great ambiance, great service. Friendly neighborhood spot. I went for New Years Eve dinner & drinks and it was amazing as always.

For my birthday dinner: my boyfriend and I were seated quickly upon arrival. We started with the tatertot appetizer and the bursts with beets. Both were excellent. We both had the salmon, which was cooked nearly perfectly. They did ask how we wanted it, so people who like it done a bit more can request that. For dessert, we had the crepe cake, which I would recommend for chocolate lovers...

For an Astoria neighborhood restaurant, this is one of my choices. We've come here for brunch and dinner. We're always seated immediately. The food is good, mac and cheese is a must try.

The place is cute and the staff is very nice but the food was, at best, aggressively ordinary.

William Hallett is located at 3610 30th Ave, Astoria, NY. This business specializes in Restaurants.

The creative New American menu at this Astoria gastropub (named after one of the area's early settlers) includes a turducken-inspired meatloaf sandwich and other affordable eats; if the vintage-style interior is "a bit dark" and service doesn't make much of an impression, optimists assure "the promise is there."
