Leon Alger worked at Willamina Meat Service from 1958 and took ownership in 1969. With compassion for the livestock, Leon strived to create a stress free environment during the process. That process included that the livestock be slaughtered individually, not around other animals on the farm. No scent or mess is left on the farm. Our facility is able to make sure animals have very low stress levels by being free to roam in the field. Our field is pesticide free, as is the grain. Leon focused on: cleanliness of the facility, along with the high quality products and customer service. Leon impressed these philosophies on his staff as well as his family. This ensured that customer's receive only the highest quality of meat products. Leon started the inclusion of sausage and in-house smoking. In 1997 Michael took over and has expanded the specialty products with many new flavors and offerings, along with Gluten Free and MSG Free products. Prices are subject to change without notice.
