I have lived in Nederland for 9 years, and I have used several chimney repair people during this time. A couple of years ago, I learned that my wood burning stove chimney was set up in a completely unsafe manner, and that my previous chimney cleaner was actually making it worse by cleaning it (I'll spare the details here). Unfortunately, the chimney cleaner that educated me about this also did sloppy work, and I was hesitant to have him redo the chimney.

I hired Will Hacket to install a Jotul wood burning stove insert into an existing masonry fireplace. The word ""insert"" may imply that all one needs to do is push it into the existing opening and 'light 'er up"". Nothing could be further from the truth. Will knew exactly what to do and how to do it to meet code. He came on time, with the right tools and was interesting and enjoyable to work with. I thought his price was reasonable for approximately one and a half days of work to complete the project. I would highly recommend him to friends in need of chimney work.
