Wild Animal Safari is a recreational park that houses a variety of animals. It includes yakatusi, nilgai, rhea, black buck antelope, watusi, giraffe, buffalo and North American Elk. The park maintains a gift shop that provides a range of products for animals. Its walk-through zoo environment, Walk-About, houses monkeys, tropical birds, bears and wolves. Wild Animal Safari s The Georgia Wildlife...
You'll hardly believe you're still in Georgia at this quirky animal preserve northwest of Pine Mountain. Camels, llamas, antelopes, and hundreds of other exotic animals traipse around freely, often coming close to vehicles for a close-up view. You can either drive your own car, rent a Zebra Van, or take a guided bus tour through the 500-acre animal preserve. An added plus is the Walk-About,...
Sure the lines can be long but it is worth the fun. Annual pass holders do stand in line so they can verify that the passes are still good. I have one. The vans are not in great condition but keep in mind you only drive it for one hour and you are surrounded by slobbery animals. The staff is very friendly and answers any questions that you may have. It is false that the animals are treated...
Stay away: poorly managed, intolerable lines for tickets and even annual passholders have to wait in line to get a day ticket. Animals are fed rock hard food which you purchase, walk around a barren landscape with little or no grass or plantings. Rip off, frustrating, inhumane. Go to Noah's Ark Sanctuary in Locust Grove where they accept donations, feed the animals real food, and give them...
It was very sad for me to see all these animals living in these conditions. The animals stomach's are bloated from all the treats that people feed them and lots of animal feces around that doesn't look healthy. There is no kind of ground covering, just bare dirt and mud, Georgia clay. I feel like they don't feed them regular food because the animals run to every vehicle to be fed. Just doesn't...
We live 45min from here but it's fun for anyway that lives by or is coming through :) we bought season passes this year and it's basically equivalent to going twice which we have def already done! It's great...
Learned about Wild Animal Safari from an article in USA Today. What a great place. Visited with my family on Sun. 11/20 and we had a wonderful time. Friendly staff, decent food in the onsite restaurant and the most fun we have had in a long time. Much better that going to the zoo. Don't miss this GA gem!
