I went there last night with my friends and had an excellent dinner! It really was amazing the food, the decor - everything. I can't say when I have enjoyed a meal out as much. Definitely will be going back. Thank you Whitlock Tavern (La Tavern).

The food was subpar and the portions were very small. For the price you pay and what you can get in the area for a lot less, I thought it was shameful. I ordered the chicken marsala and my wife ordered the chicken francese and both consisted of one small chicken cutlet, 5 thin new potato wedges (undercooked), and 14 green beans! Living 1 mile away, the Whitlock Tavern has become a home away from home. Relaxing atmosphere in a nice, scenic location. I enjoy the Prime Rib special and the 1/2 price wine nights. Help!!! Whitlock needs Gordon Ramsey...this is a Kitchen Nightmare!!
My husband orders the Shrimp & Scallop Fettucine Alfredo without the scallops. The waitress brings the dish with the scallops. It comes back looking like it was nuked, no cream, just oil in overcooked egg noodles.

La Taverna Restaurant and bar is a great place to get Italian food. It has a large selection to choose from on their menu and for reasonable prices. La Taverna also has a bar which offers daily happy hour specials.
