Crepe cuisine continues to infiltrate the Detroit metro area with the Birmingham outpost of What Crepe?. Go for the breakfast-themed Bon Appetit or any of the 50+ varieties of sweet and savory options. Considering the bespoke creations available, you'll need a mathematician to calculate how long it'll take to get though the entire menu, which caters to carnivores and vegans alike.

Wonderful find! I have to agree the crepe looked like a burrito when it arrive at the table. The Monte Cristo was amazing. My friend had a breakfast crepe, which she agreed was also great. Next time I'll try the salad. It looked yummy as it passed our table. Excellent service, the wait staff was very attentive. Nice ambiance, for...

Rip Off

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and felt that you just got ripped off. Well that's how I felt today at this place 1 banana Nutella crepe for $11 dollars. And they didn't even get it right. The banana's weren't sliced the way they normally would be (in circles) instead they sliced it the long way and just placed...

Tasty ingredients, this did not remind me of French or Swiss crepes at all, but we had the savory ones, which are definitely stuffed full of good stuff. Had the spicy chicken which was quite good, advised to add mushrooms which were good & fresh & not just the standard button mushrooms, the savory mushroom crepe sounded great, want to...

I stopped in here on a scalding hot day in July. The interior was cool and classy, with red velvet chairs and exposed brick walls. The music was classic Sinatra and Motown. I had a veggie crepe that was delicious! The service was fast and friendly. The prices are a teeny bit high, so I selected Very Good for value...

Best crepes outside Paris

I've spent a decade looking for a crepe that reminded me of my trip to Paris, and I finally found it at What Crepe? The menu is awesome - you can mix and match items to build your own crepe, or you can order a standard crepe. Either way you go, you can't lose. The service is top notch, but...

Molly Abraham, Detroit News Restaurant Critic: The Ann Arbor outpost of the little creperie that charmed Royal Oak is now the only one left. Savory and sweet crepes and a full bar are the attractions.
