I arrived to the hotel, and the door was locked. I used an outside phone to call a number that they had listed on a tattered piece of paper. When they answered the phone, I was informed that there was no one there to let me into the office and I would have to find someplace else to stay. So at 11:30 pm, I had to drive to another hotel and pay twice as much for a room. Avoid this place!
It was immediately evident that this hotel was overpriced. I knew several others staying in the motel the same weekend and we were all disappointed with the value in contrast to previous reviews. This hotel was a good value for the money, but the sheets were thin and worn as were the bath towels. It was a clean room and a good value, but I think sheets and towels should be purchased every once in a while to help guests feel comfortable! Room was a bit dated but clean; motel is well located on the main drag into La Crosse. No breakfast, just coffee in the morning. Overall, it was adequate and fairly priced and fine for a night or two.
Philip is very gracious and welcoming and does his best to accommodate you. Our room was clean and comfortable if a bit dated. The bathroom is small but clean with nice towels. Coffee in the office in the morning. Free wi-fi.
