These movers broke my bed to the point of no repair. They did not disassemble my bed frame at all and tried to carry it up a narrow flight of stairs, causing one of the wooden boards to crack in half. When I called the owner, Eli Korkos, he refused to discount my move for me and threatened to tell his movers to drive off with the rest of my stuff if I did not pay in full. I do not recommend...

Be prepared to get taken advantage of.

I'm an attorney here in Washington, D.C. who happens to be Russian speaking. These movers tried to ""bait and switch"" us from $210 to $400 in a matter of minutes.

Over the phone they quoted ""$70 per hour, 3 hour minimum, includes packing / protective materials"". When they showed up, they said ""oh, we came with 3 guys instead of 2, so now its $80 per hour, and did anyone tell you about the $80 ""travel"" fee?""

The best part is when the mover called his boss b/c I refused to pay their ""new charges"", he explained to him in Russian how:

for all three moves. Each time, the three guys arrived early, were courteous, friendly and handled my furniture and items with care. I even found them running/jogging down the hallway of my floor several times in an effort to move faster! Best Movers DC has comparable prices if not better than most. We used this Washington, DC moving service company based entirely on this site and the comments left here, and so I wanted to leave a rave review here for our recent move to Delaware. My company was paying for the service, the $1260 price quote came in under that amount, and I liked the way I was treated and our communication with Janet, so we booked them for our long distance move.

I thought the employees of DC Movers were very nice, professional, and accommodating. I moved a long distance and they did it in a short amount of time. I can't really comment on the price because I did an exclusive move, which is more money, but even so it was pretty reasonable.
