What the community has to say about Warren Store

Information about this business (2)

At the Warren Store, we believe the age old concept that the country store is the hub of its community and will serve as a gathering place for locals and visitors alike. We work hard to carry on that tradition.

We are so glad you are here. Come in and enjoy lunch by the pot belly stove. Who knows what Mother Nature has in store for us this week, but we are so glad you could make the trip!

Editorial reviews from the web (1)

This general store has everything you'd hope to find in tiny but sophisticated Vermont: a nice selection of local beer and wine, cheeses, baked goods, strong coffee, and delicious sandwiches and prepared foods. Me, I enjoy the semi-rustic sort of general store that this place gives off, maybe not for city slickers, but hey, it's one of the four places in Vermont to grab Lawson's bottles, and actually, this is the "first" place on the stop to grab their bottles. With that in mind, get there early to get their bottles because at least during the off season of tourists, they don't limit Lawson's bottles....

Very very eclectic store and a joy to visit. Heck, they even have some great beers to play with. One of the places one can get Heady and Sip. Well worth going.

The thing is, Lawson's essentially loves this place. But you gotta come here for the provisional country store vibe- I guarantee if you can spend just a bit of time here, slow down, relax, you'll walk out with more than just beer. Don't go in thinking you're gonna find #whalezbro, in fact I didn't find anything, but you'll walk out w real time Vermont if ya want.

If you are particular about the ingredients -- Warren Store soups, sandwiches and salads offer their bakery bread, delicious home made soups and salads - try the broccoli salad and #6 sandwich. For breakfast my favorite is the Ruetzler but be usre to get there before 11 a.m. when grill closes. If you are still hungry try the bakery goods....

"It's not just a store; it's a living, breathing, Vermont spirit." Boston Common, Fall 2006

Features the best in deli foods, fine wines, continental-style bakery and penny candy counter, all around a pot-bellied stove. Upstairs at the More Store, find contemporary shopping, clothes and decorative accessories in a suprisingly museum like atmosphere.
