For a "peek inside" "POTUS' house", head Downtown to the W Hotel's "amazing" rooftop lounge where "breathtaking" views of the White House and Mall draw a "see-and-be-seen" crowd for "delicious", "expensive" cocktails in a "swanky", mod setting – both inside (zebra prints, leather couches) and out (black wicker, plush red sofas); service veers between "great" and "snooty", but "for impressing a...

This rooftop bar is located on the 11th floor of the trendy W Washington, D.C. Hotel, holds only 104 people, and is accessed solely by an elevator. The hotel reserves some seats in the lounge for hotel guests and accepts reservations for all others, so if you're not staying here and want to make the P.O.V. scene, you really should call ahead for a spot. This restaurant has an amazing location and great environment, but the positives end there. Unfortunately the service was horrible and the food was not worth the price. DC has much better options so don't get caught in this tourist trap.

Service is excellent, the food very good and the atmosphere decent. But, it's way overpriced with a limited menu. If you don't like seafood, your choices are mostly a $48 steak or $34 half chicken. You're paying for the location. The place is fine, but...
