First and foremost, hands down, best location in the city regardless if you're a frequent traveler to the city or if it's your first time. Conveniently located in the Midtown East area on Lexington ave, across from the iconic Waldorf Astoria you cannot get any better. Close to the 6 train, taxis or towncar available within minutes and walking distance to literally thousands of places no matter what you want to do.
We checked in this friday and our room wasn't quite ready yet, so we grabbed a few seats at the bar in the lounge and had a nice 7.50 beer...ha, all joking aside, great...
Last week I stayed at W Hotel in New York, the receptionist was very polite spoke softly and the rooms were clean. It was good to stay there.
To start I love the W hotels, this is one is good not great. The rooms are small and I mean small, they seldom give this Starwood Platinum guest an upgrade, they seem to ignore the SPG members. They don't honor VIP check-in so you have to wait in line. The Hotel is very "hip" and fun, a great 20 and 30 something crowd in the bar and at Whiskey Blue. They charge a premium price, but don't...
I stayed there for the weekend with my mom and aunt. Absolute perfection!! Whatever/Whenever, the Concierge were more than accomodating. The place is sleek, chic, clean, staff is good-looking and hip. It's in the perfect location near to all restaurants: Mint, Dos Caminos, Smith and Wollensky. The bed feels like your sleeping in air, its takes you into the night and don't wake till the next morning..What an experience, 2 thumbs up and it has the ""WOW"" factor. I will definite return to this hotel!!
