We stayed here over the weekend, and had our valentines dinner at Vue. The food was excellent. We had the crab cakes, and both of us had the filet. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, as ordered. The mashed potatoes were flavorful, but very smooth. They could have used some texture. Overall, the food is not the problem.

The Vue is in the 4 star Marriott. A beautiful hotel. The restaurant was empty. Only 3 couples on a Saturday. The staff said this was the usual.

We went to VUE as part of Dana Point Restaurant Week. We really wanted the stuffed prawns on their prix fixe menu.

Very average buffet. Nothing special and the hot items look like they had been in the dish along time. The staff was courteous but posibly new to the job.
