The "different" "Dutch-inspired" New American menu includes some "incredible" choices at this "off-the-radar" Andersonville bistro offering hearty small and large plates plus mussels many ways (some of the "best in town"); the "cozy" space has a "warm" feel, and service scores highly.

Vincent Restaurant Review

Vincent’s menu of small and large plates resonates with lovers of comfort fare as well as food enthusiasts in search of something “new.” While the restaurant still serves snert (split pea soup) and sambal mussels (five versions of moules frites, in fact), ongoing chef changes have ushered in a more Northern European-meets-American slant. The owners of HB Bistro offer another escape to Europe in this Andersonville bistro, easily the closest you'll come to visiting Amsterdam, without leaving Chicago. I've been here a number of times and always food and service were great. The mussels should be a specialty main meal instead of appetizer. the orders are pretty good sized and...

When it comes to cocktails, I know what I like and what I don't. Well, Vincent proved I was wrong. Against my better judgment, I decided to try the Carnivale, a tequila based cocktail when habanero syrup that turned out to be sensational. Our whole table tasted it, and loved it. So be adventurous here, and trust your server. Ours...
