Video Room is New York City's video store for the connoisseur Two video store locations offer NYC's best collection of movies on DVD VHS Offers video delivery pick up in Uptown Downtown Manhattan
Ok, I don't know if it was a fluke but after many "cool" or indifferent visits I actually had one a couple of weeks ago that was nice! I'd be remiss to not acknowledge that.
Horrible place. I took 2 videos to be transferred to DVD not only is it overpriced but the quality isn't good. They would absolutely not provide a refund. They claim that they did "all the work" work which is left to a machine to do while they walk away and never even review. At 30.00 an hour for a machine to do all the work? I think not!! Don't go here. Smells like queeny cats too.
Not sure why the reviews seem to say the staff here is rude. I've been in a few times (maybe 4 or 5), and I've never had any problems with them at all. I've used their services both to rent movies (decent prices, good selection), as well as to transfer old home movies from VHS to DVD. They were quick and didn't charge a lot.
Rude and arrogant staff. They think they are so great because they were the first. I misplaced a video I rented. I eventually found it and returned it. They charged me $70 which way surpasses the value of the tape. This is highway robbery. I will never shop there again.
It's unbelievable that this place is still in business- i was a corporate customer, and after the second horrible experience, I am going to make sure everyone else at my company knows what to expect from this place:\r -Extremely rude staff. \r -All the titles you probably want on VHS instead of DVD- because they 'are rented out' (aka they haven't updated their inventory since 1982.)
Video Room can be found at 3rd Ave 1487. The following is offered: Video Rental & Retail. The entry is present with us since Sep 9, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In New York there are 88 other Video Rental & Retail. An overview can be found here.
