Venga Empanadas

If you simply need sustenance, this place will do. You're not going to have the meal of a lifetime (or even the meal of the weekend), but you'll have food in your belly. We had the Kale/Bacon, Spicy Beef, and Sweet Corn empanadas. All were edible, but we won't be making a special trip to have any of them again.

Slightly overpriced for what you get. The chicken in the aji gallina seemed a little dry and needed help from the assortment of sauce nearby on the tables. The empanada dough however is nice in that it merely wraps up the filling in a thin warm pocket.

great empanadas in a cute little Mission shop. friendly service, great food, and a warm atmosphere make for the perfect little Argentinian getaway

First of all, the staff is super friendly and they have a decent empanada and soup selection. The lunch meal is a pretty good deal. I tried an argentine beef and a chicken empanada, and I found the chicken one to be pretty authentic to an argentine/Paraguayan empanada. I also had the chorizo lentil soup, and it was fantastic. Definitely a great place! I'd go again.
