During the day on Mondays through Wednesdays, it was bit quieter than weekends, bars and restaurants were hidden, but on weekends, it was alive, busting and bars/restaurants were open that you did not noticed during the daytimes, but this street does not have NYC's cliche!

Like Most DC, It Sleeps Early

I had my hostel n this street. It is near most things. In fact i walked to everything from my hostel (Union Station and The Mall and all). Everything closes down very early. I remember walking around 8 pm and most of shops were closed and it was deserted.

I came by with my family for the H Street festival. Crazy crowds and lots of good food to try. Lots of great bars and restaurants everywhere... Street car tracks seem to be ready but no car in sight. There are still pockets along H Street that needs to be improved, but overall H Street is slowly growing to be...

This is a hot, up-and-coming district with lots of nightlife. Inwent to a concert here, and it was nice. They have a bus to take you there from Chinatown, but it's close enough to walk.

There didn't seem to be anything particularly special about this street in downtown Washington DC. We came here in order to have lunch at Momiji, which was a popular and inexpensive Japanese restaurant in H street. The so called "Chinatown" area has few redeeming features of interest. Not really anything of interest for tourists here.
