This is a hard place to figure out. It is now called the Ciderhouse unless there is another restaurant in the same space that I missed. Great beer selection, including Hill Farmstead Brewery beer; Nice, airy room; Friendly, but agonizingly slow service; Tiny portions. The menu is limited. Hill Farmstead Beer at the Ciderhouse

The Ciderhouse has replaced the Brown Dog Bistro. Their beer selection is very good, there are usually two Hill Farmstead beers and four others on tap. They also have hard cider on tap. The food is localvore and delicious! Great burgers with Jasper Hill blue cheese on one and awesome handcut fries. Good salads and daily specials and excellent staff!

Friendly pub in Newport

We had a nice dinner here, with super friendly and attentive service. The French fries alone are worth the trip. Two of us had tasty burgers and one of us had a nice chicken salad plate. A nice Change-The Ciderhouse-AKA Brown Dog Bistro

This place was a little hard to find because it has changed names and is located in a small shopping mall full of Vermont products. Lunch was very good and the ability to purchase some nice Vermont maple and Apple cider products even added to the experience. Sandwiches were a little different but were very good. Overall a nice change...

I work in Newport & love eating at the Brown Dog Bistro.
The tiramisu is to DIE for. Sadly they stopped making it recently which just broke my heart. It is the most creative and delicious tiramisu I ever had!
