We doubt any Chicago speakeasy ever looked like this - but authenticity be damned, this place is cool. Untitled, an underground 1920s-themed pleasure palace, clocks in at 18,000 square feet. It boasts four different dining rooms, three bars, a live jazz band, antiques galore and a whiskey "library" stocked with the largest collection of American whiskey in town. As befits its name, the door is an anonymous, unlabeled slab next to a CVS. Open it and find a grand staircase ready to deliver you into the belly of the beast, where veal tartare, fried squash blossoms and tender short ribs and...

'Tis the Season: Your Guide to Black Wednesday Parties

Looking to kick off your holiday season in a big way? Black Wednesday, the second biggest bar night of the year, is nearly here. These spots are throwing the big bashes to get you ready for the Thanksgiving/Hanukkah madness so you can party like a rock star before it's time for turkey.

Subterranean and unmarked, this sprawling speakeasy-inspired River North den serves midpriced New American shared plates and raw bar snacks with an extensive cocktail menu heavy on the brown spirits; 18,000 square feet of dramatically decorated, themed rooms house various seating options and bars, with massive mirrors (one that doubles as a movie screen for vintage films), a wall of liquor...

They have a Tuesday 3 course prix fix menu The food is very good and well prepared and original but even for small plates some can be a little too small and for the price a little high. The prix fixe was well worth it,...

Tips about this business (5)

Long lines on weekends so come early for dinner and stay a while for pre-Prohibition cocktails and small bites - scallop/shortrib, squash blossom, etc. Movie night Sunday coming soon!

Untitled has the largest American whiskey collection in the country. That is all we need to say about it.

Dude, this is hands down the coolest place to hit River North or Chicago in forever. Live music, a full menu & a book of cocktails. Thank u!

Amazing, breathtaking space. Order the fried squash blossoms and try to get into the room with the great big band. The cocktail menu is extensive and not to be missed.
