An authentic Indian Vegetarian restaurant
Traveling for work and staying across the street at Hampton inn. It is located in a strip mall and can be difficult to locate, but it's right between the laundryman and motel 6. I'm a healthy eater and have recently been expanding my pallet but unfamiliar with Indian cystine. I got the Rasam soup and Coimbatore Dosai. The flavor a we're fresh and exciting to eat! Entire meal was $15 + tip.
Decent place for lunch buffet. Don't go late, they don't refill and keep saying they're going to close soon.
Not only was my dining experience deplorable, but it turns out so is this establishment's management. I recently learned from a disgruntled ex employee that our tips do not go to the servers. Instead they are told to lie to the customers and the restaurant keeps their tips. So, If for some reason you do eat there, make sure you give your server cash.
The food here is excellent, make no mistake. They do, however, take their servers' tips.
My husband and I love Indian food, and Udupi has fast become a favorite. We've been for both the lunch buffet and regular dinner service.
