We ate here at the recommendation of our motel owner. He told us about the two for one prime rib dinner which is not shown on the menu. You have to ask for it. It was an absolutely outstanding meal. We tried the Trough on the recommendation of our motel. We were more than pleased. They offer a prime rib special - 2 for $25 - from 4 to 6.30. We happened to be there in time, so we tried it. I just called to make reservations for our group for the end of September and was told they are closing permanently on September 15, 2013. We've enjoyed several years of gatherings and laughter at this restaurant as well as good food and service.

The steak was supposed to be fabulous, and we couldn't wait to try it. I was just like the steak back east, nothing special (but pricey). The trout was so covered with almonds that you couldn't taste the fish, which was perhaps the goal. The dining room is pretty dark, but my trout looked pink, and I thought they'd made...

Happy hour meals in the bar are the best bargain anywhere, and the food is great.
