Help us make it rightWith a kitschy, tropical-themed bar in front--complete with fake palm trees, rock walls and bright rainbow lights--and a generic pool hall in back, Tropical 128 suffers from multiple personalities....
if a tiki bar mated with chucky cheese they would have a beautifully tacky booze baby, and that baby would be named 128 Tropical.
It's like 8 different bars in one room!
Delightfully tacky.
I spent 10 nights in New York, visiting various places at the end of a round the World trip, and no-where was I made to feel more welcome.
Thanks to Tony, Olga, Tatiania, Jo-Jo and Inga,
I will definetely be back

Save Money: Daily happy hour features a buy-one, get-one-free, beer deal.
Fun Fact: There's a large tropical fish tank with a two-way mirror that doubles as a wall in the men's bathroom--so you can cross "relieve myself while looking out into a bar" off your list.
Know Before You Go: Tropical 128 is cash only, but there's an ATM conveniently located on the premises.
Food Served: Tasty Japanese snacks--like beef, pork and chicken yakitori, shumai and edamame--start at $2.50.
