Editorial reviews from the web (5)

“Carrying the torch” for die-hard punks and rockers, this Williamsburg local combines loud live shows in the basement with drink deals that will make for a “memorable (or not) night”; rest assured that “it lives up to its name as far as aesthetics go.”

Get trashed. Latest attempt to transform site of once-famous Luxx, home of the so-called electroclash revolution. Revamped, now looks like an indie rock club parody, drowning in ironic-cum-sincere Americana. Ivy League kids act like Alabama honky-tonk boozers. Fun, if that's your bag. Pool tables, video games, and dirt-cheap drinks. Just about the cheapest drinks in Brooklyn, actually, and free...

Keeping up Brooklyn's green streak, Fuego 718 offers handmade items from far-flung spots like Peru, Nepal, and Cambodia, made from recyclables and sold at fair trade prices. Owner Alex Aldama's knowledge about each handpicked product makes for great small talk here, and in your home.

Formerly renowned as an epicenter of electroclash club LUXX, the space has been fully renovated and altered to provide a superior music venue and complete DJ system with a warm, welcoming front room. Billiards and arcades are accompanied by truck stop kitsch and dirt cheap food. Trash additionally offers free tater tots with the purchase of any drink which can be accompanied by a hot dog for an...

Styled like a hipster Bennigan's, this Billyburg rock club lets the good times roll.

A no frills rock n roll type of establishment.. Fun and noisy atmosphere, with quick and great bartenders!

From the perspective of the stage, this is a straight-up hard rock club. That's the great thing about it. That's the problem.Trash will hit you hard, especially in the band room. Everything on...

AWESOME, UNIQUE my favourate pub-restaurant in New York

I can't even explain how cool this retro place is. Everything is cool about it, I thought their loo's would be funky too, but that was the only dreary (boring) thing about this unique bar. I googled themed bars on my phone when we were in New York, and begged Tony to go here with me. I LOVE themed bars...

This place was recommended for the karaoke. It started at 12/12:30a.m. so I had a drink to kill time. The crowd made me feel like I was in an episode of Glee. Young campus brats spending mommy & daddy’s money. Didn’t bother staying.

Drinking places, nsk

The sprawling and buzzing Grand Street in hipster central is the latest addition to the NYC street scene. The Trash bar is one of the leading establishments that entertains its guests with cool music and cheap booze. It has been renovated and revamped, making it one of the best faux-dive bars in the neighborhood. The rocking, sometimes sedated DJs spin out punk and sleaze rock and most nights...

Tips about this business (3)

What to Drink

Pints of Yuengling are always $4 and happy hour offers two-for-one brews and well drinks.

Save Money

Ask for a free bowl of tater tots and you shall receive--as long as you've placed a drink order.

Look Good

Just as you'd feel out of place slumming it in ripped jeans at a ritzy midtown happy hour, you'd feel silly in your suit here. To avoid funny looks, dress down before you stop by.
