Interesting for a tourist

There are no Mexican food markets where we live so strolling around in here was quite an experience. Different kinds of foods, labels in Spanish, produce we didn't recognize and prepared foods to buy. The bakery items were inexpensive and delish. Nearby is a cute Mexican restaurant, Playa Hermosa. Stopping at both made a fun evening with a Mexican flavor....

We usually love stopping here. This last time, the place was more run down and not as nice as it once was. A bit on the dirty side. I would still recommend going, but they definitely could use an update.

They need better customer service. Not enough cashiers and to order food is a pain in the ass. It's slow. The young girls that are working seemed to be more worried about their phones. I shop at the one 16th street and Roosevelt.
