Known to have withstood the Prohibition period as well as all the wars, Townhouse Bar and Speakeasy has an old world charm that never fades. Its basement housed a speakeasy which served rum and other liquor that was shipped illegally from Vancouver. This place is completely different depending on which day you decide to go. If you go Saturday night, be prepared to fight for drinks, wait in line (usually moves fast) and bump up next to everyone because it gets very very crowded. Never have I ever been to a speakeasy but wow talk about crazy! Walk in the place and it smells like the ocean smacked you in the face ! Drinks are on point to where you question yourself...

Every other, Saturday (down from each Saturday), the Speakeasy hosts an incredible retro jazz duo sometimes with friends sitting-in. Awesome spot for drinks and dancing! There is a chill lounge area upstairs and a pool table in the back. Downstairs is great for dancing. Drinks are good and there are two bars. If you are seated in the lounge area, there is someone to grab drinks for you.
