The "classic, cake-y" donuts are "addictive" - try the "apple fritters as big as your head" or any of the "amazing variety" of fried dough - at these links of the chain of "Homer Simpson"-worthy donut shops that are fast becoming a "Seattle institution"; cups of house-roasted coffee, a staff of "really great people" and "beautiful" retro design round things out.

Hot java and some of the best donuts around in a stylish spot on Summit.

The Scene

I sought out this shop, but wasn't overwhelmed. I had a cake doughnut with chocolate icing and coconut flakes. It was tasty, but nothing great. I was surprised that there wasn't more of a selection of doughnuts.

Good donuts, friendly service. I have bought donuts there off and on for at least seven years. I like the donuts with pink frosting and sprinkles.

I got 6 donuts. I had a Cinnamon, Seattle Seahawks(Vanilla), Choc frosted Long john, Choc donut, apple fritter, and a Oreo. The apple fritter was the best. The cinnamon, Choc and Seattle ones were a close 2nd. The Choc. Long john and Oreo were the worst by far. I can't remember what it cost but it was expensive IMO.
