Toast Wine Bar and Cafe is a sophisticated place to wine and dine in the North Loop area without breaking the bank. Located on a side street off the bustling main roads, Toast is an intimate and delicious destination for date night. The wine menu is an interesting mix of classic and more eclectic tastes and the outdoor patio is especially romantic during the warmer months.

A guy walks into a bar: Toast Wine Bar

The look: Toast Wine Bar occupies a semi-subterranean corner spot in the Heritage Landing Building in Minneapolis’ Warehouse District. I guess you could say that Toast is a “garden level” wine bar. The bar and other furnishings are simple and practical and made of pale, sturdy wood. But the walls are painted in poor taste with amorphous shapes in muted tones and hung with bad art. Singular...

Out-of-the-way North Loop bistro in the old Vanderblooms location offers neighborhood regulars Italian-inspired dishes and a decent list of vino.

In Short
Young professionals step out of their condos and into the demi wine bar. Tall wooden tables are scattered around the L-shape space and accented with a single votive candle. The...

I could not believe the service we got. When we sat down the waiter threw the menus at the table. Our waitress was helpful in the beginning but once she took our order she never came back to check on us. We asked for our check and as I was telling her how to split the check for the parties involved she walked away. When I asked her to correct the check, she gave me an attitude. To "punish" us for making her correct it, she gave everyone else their checks, checked on everyone else's table before she gave us our check so we could wait longer. From the time we asked for our check to when we...

We stopped in here after dinner one night and had a great experience. The service was fantastic. They have a nice wine selection and the atmosphere was very laid back. We didn't order a meal, but...

A great experience overall! I think I'll do negatives first just to get it out of the way. Service was a little slow and fairly awkward. My only complaint. Now for the positives, of which there...

I've only been here once, but I'll definitely be back soon. They have a good wine list - as someone that lived in CA for 10 years, I have definitely been missing full wine lists when I go out...

I really really like this place. 5 stars for great wine! (we didn't try any food, but next time we will). Came here late on a Saturday night and sat on the patio. I love the neighborhood friendly...
