Tiny Cake Disappointment

Clean store - Short hours (closes at 6pm most days)-

I ordered a 6 inch chocolate chip with chocolate icing cake for my
godson's birthday and prepaid with a set pickup time of 5pm the next day.
I double checked with them that 1 day turn-around time was okay and
was assured by the owner that the order would be done on time and
it was no problem at all.

I arrived at the shop at 5:10pm and the cake was still cooling.
They use a very melty cream cheese like frosting on their cakes
and I was forced to wait. I was able to leave after 5:30pm and told
that I needed to keep it well air conditioned in the car and put it
in the fridge when I got home. It was very moist and perspiring
when it was handed to me. This worried me.

Temp in my car showed 69 degrees and it was a short trip home to
the fridge. When My godson sliced and tasted his cake we were
upset to find that the bottom of the cake was burnt, the top of the cake's
icing was melted into the top of the cake and chunks of the cake
crumbled out of the box the chocolate chips had all risen to the top
of the cake and melted into burnt chocolate areas.
The writing on the cake of course was
unrecognizable and had become big oily patches of blue.

The cake was $18.

To be fair - I had tried the Banana cupcake and the strawberry cupcake
the day before and thought they were decent but the icing bad.

I do not reccommend this shop for any ordered or specialty cakes at all
