I was 25 and looking for a place to train in martial arts because my whole life I wanted to get into it. Sensei Zapfel confidently answered all of my questions and I before I knew it my journey began in MMA. Months passed and as my training became a regular part of my life I became faster, stronger and my body became nicely cut (the gym wasn't delivering this). The personal reward of seeing me improve week by week is like nothing else.With the holidays and vacations my body fat percentage fluctuates throughout the year and every time I've turned to MMA to cut the weight quickly and transform my body back to my beach body! The curriculum never gets stagnant here and is always evolving slowly which is what I love about the program. I'm never bored and am always challenged. The workouts are humbling and remind me there is always room for improvement no matter how athletic I think I am. This program has helped me find self-discipline and confidence that I never knew I had.Sensei Zapfel is an excellent teacher and speaker. I've been around to other schools in the organization and I wouldn't trade the quality of my classroom experience for any other school I've been to! I also have gotten to know the other students very well and they are a very friendly and welcoming group. I look forward to my training every week.I highly recommend this school and I personally welcome new students to train with. Most IMPORTANTLY. there are NO egos here!

Great Workout, Motivating Instructor

I have worked out all my life, having played HS and D1 college sports, I know the fitness drill. Beginner classes got me know my stuff,and the int/adv class is where I started learning some real cool techniques. The tough and motivating workouts are just what I need. Been there for years and just turned 40, my wife says she still like my abs. I'll never be a fighter, but I know some of the guys on the fight team. Fighters in the UFC, Bellator, King Of the Cage, Ring of Combat, WEC and tons of amateurs. Lots of titles too!
