Good comfortable hotel but in the middle of nowhere

I had to spend a night picking up my connecting flight to Atlanta after flying in from the UK. Chose the Westin thinking you cant go wrong with the place as it is chain. Its some way from the airport but a helpful shuttle bus picks you up and drops you off. The room was comfortable clean and well organised....

The hotel is located very near to Dulles Airport. If you have a early morning flight out the next day, this hotel is the right one to stay. It is very clean and the room is very spacious. Perfect Pre/Post Flight Hotel

The Westin is the perfect pre/post flight hotel. Extremely comfortable beds, prompt shuttle to Dulles and covered parking. We had a room with a lake view and also used the fitness center. Good for a Short stay

My wife and I stayed at here basically because we wanted to visit the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and be close enough to the airport since we had a 1 day stopover in Washington.
By the way, they offer a free shuttle to and fro the Smithsonian (About 15 minutes away) which i consider a plus.
