After a day of visiting museums and quaint shops on charming little streets, this minimalist cream-and-black restaurant is a breath of fresh air. Its menu is as up to the minute as the decor, with the trendiest of ingredients, such as salmon cakes, steak salad, or pan-seared ahi tuna at lunch, or fresh fish or chowder at dinner. Once again we had an outstanding meal at the Tasting Room. The snapper and the short rib were so tasty and perfectly prepared and served. Tad too pricey for this food. We were in the front half and surprisingly noisy up there, too. All the TVs on didn't help the noise level. Server was excellent, though. We most likely will not return.

The Tasting Room is an ideal spot to take that someone special. It is easily located in downtown Frederick, just a short walk from the parking garage. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. They make you feel important to be dining with them. A casual setting with upscale feel.
