Recommended for those who enjoy simple and modern luxuries. Everything was as advertised on the Standard's website--including complementary access to some of the spa. Nice pool and poolside restaurant, friendly and accommodating staff, quiet comfortable rooms, very close to South Beach and Downtown. When I first saw the room I was a little nervous....the rooms are SMALL. But the next day when I walked through the hotel i realized that you are paying for the amenities. Neat and clean room. Good thing I got a great rate. Service is spotty at best. friendly and distracted could be the best description of the staff. The bill is oddly detailed where each charge is separated out (not lunch $50.00 but each component of the bill given without a sum total). This makes a review at check out difficult. The hospitality was awful but the rooms were clean and the pool was great. First of all, we had a large van and they refused to help us park it except on a lot miles away. We had expensive equipment in it so we couldn't just park it in public. The front desk guy was way too cool for school and wouldn't help.
