We stopped here with friends to kill a little time before meeting with family, we grabbed some really cold beer and an appetizer to share and enjoyed a very authentic Texas Ice House, looks like a very fun place after hours, we where a little early so the live music hadn't started.

Read earlier reviews of The Shack and although they were somewhat mixed, their burgers are huge, freshly formed giants patties with little flavor. Their homemade buns fall apart very easily. Family get together at the Shack

We had a large group that ranged from toddlers to senior citizens and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. From the fried dill pickles, onion rings & fries to the salads and burgers, the food was great!

A Friday night faux pas

Our night at the shack didn't go very well.
It started with the kitchen manager telling us we couldn't eat in the overflow area. That was ok so he directed us to the main restaurant. There were no tables available and the manager told us we couldn't go upstairs to eat but he didn't suggest any place we COULD eat....

Well, we live about 5 minutes from the Cypress Rosehill location, and it took us years to give this place a try. Mostly because it was always so jam-packed with cars and people that it never seemed worth the hassle. We were always willing to drive in to the Burger Palace on Sage near the Galleria for what we consider...
