I'm a resident of downtown and just discovered The Metro. I had the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken, which came with a choice of salad. I chose the Caesar which was good. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly and drowned in sauce... Just the right amount. The chicken was fresh and diced into bite-sized pieces, making a knife unnecessary. It was well...

Friendly Christmas Eve

Recommended by our hotel, we found this place open and welcoming late Christmas Eve...and what a gem.
Not only was the food great, but the personal attention was welcoming and friendly...perhaps because we were Canadian and first time visitors to Tampa, but the staff was very inquisitive and helpful when it came to our questions too.
Would eat there again...

Excellent Food friendly people

We stopped in one night late while in Tampa on business. The food was excellent. We had dirty rice and pulled pork sandwiches. The rice melted in your mouth - just delicious. It was super clean too. I would recommend to anyone in Tampa.

I live at Element in Downtown Tampa and have been going to The Metro Restaurant several times a week since it opened in April,2011.I have had just about every item on the menu and can honestly say that I have enjoyed all of them immensely !! The service has been top notch....the dining room and bar is classy yet comfortable...
